About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Group Leader to develop an independent and innovative integrated structural biology research programme at EMBL Grenoble. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research excellence and a clear vision for their research programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead an independent research programme in integrated structural biology, addressing important biological problems and making use of cutting-edge technologies.
- Integrate into and take full advantage of the extensive research environment and comprehensive resources available at EMBL Grenoble and throughout the EMBL network.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to advance the scientific programme from Molecules to Ecosystems.
- Develop and implement a research plan that aligns with EMBL's transversal themes, including Infection Biology and Microbial Ecosystems.
- Lead a team of researchers and provide guidance and leadership to ensure the success of the research programme.
Requirements
- Demonstrable ability and ambition to work on fundamental biological questions, with a strong motivation to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
- Ability to participate constructively in local unit management and a pro-active and positive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with team members and colleagues.
