Job Responsibilities:
- Work with the Chef de Partie to prepare dishes according to recipe specifications, ensuring portion size, quantity, and quality.
- Complete daily and monthly checklists for mise-en-place and food storage.
- Attend daily and monthly meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and other meetings as requested by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
- Report any equipment failures or issues to the Chef de Cuisine and ensure necessary work is completed.
- Maintain a clean and tidy section.
- Pass information to the next shift.
- Record accidents and sickness in the log book and report to the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
- Monitor Commis Chefs on their section, ensuring personal hygiene standards are met.
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in creating new recipes and menu ideas.
- Understand and adhere to the company's policies on fire, hygiene, and safety.
- The above description is not exhaustive, and other tasks of a comparable nature may be added on a temporary or permanent basis.
Qualifications:
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
- Good communication and customer contact skills.
- Team player.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of cooking experience.
