We are seeking a highly skilled Research/Machine Learning Engineer to join our Digital Technologies cluster at ArcelorMittal Maizieres Research. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying machine learning solutions for process monitoring and optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy machine learning solutions for process monitoring and optimization
- Lead research activities in the framework of research projects and technical support to plants
- Contribute to the development and renewal of activities, including proposal of new research axes and projects
- Master's degree or PhD in computer science, statistics, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in data science/statistics role supporting the industry
- Extensive programming experience in Python technology stack (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, shap, etc.)
- Excellent knowledge of machine learning algorithms for clustering, classification, regression, anomaly detection, and optimization
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills, both oral and written
- Excellent social skills to work in a team
- Ability to travel worldwide
- Advanced levels of English and French
- Experience in process monitoring and Fault Detection and Diagnosis (FDD) would be a plus
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms will be considered as a plus
- Knowledge in image analysis and deep learning (PyTorch) will be considered as a plus
