We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Excellence Leader to join our team at Colt Technology Services. As an Engineering Location Lead, you will be responsible for delivering technical excellence and leadership across our French projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
You will lead and manage a multi-disciplinary technical and design management team in France, delivering multiple hyperscale data centre projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring the technical delivery of projects and maintaining consistency with employer's requirements and specific customers' solutions.
- Managing external engineering consultants and contractors to meet programme, design, and budget requirements.
- Playing a leading role in the delivery of multi-disciplinary design and managing project documentation and governance approvals.
- Supporting project managers to drive project programmes and delivery, while working closely with other design engineers and construction teams.
- Liaising with customers to develop specific project design requirements and delivering first-class projects.
You will report to the Regional Engineering Manager (UK/EUR) and be based in France, with a focus on our Paris portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of design consultants appointments and processes, as well as experience in delivery of mission-critical engineering and built environment design processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications- Excellent people management skills and ability to motivate and build trust amongst participants and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of design consultants appointments and processes.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in delivery of mission-critical engineering, built environment design processes, MEP strategies, and technologies.
- Substantial experience of working in the built environment engineering industry.
- Experience performing commissioning, qualification, and change control activities related to electrical systems, life safety, and fire protection.
- Experience in working in France, including planning and development processes, and RIBA stage gate delivery process.
- Deep understanding of the digital environment, including BIM, levels of development in design, and technology that can assist in the engineering and construction process.
A bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required for this role.
