Strategic Planning Specialist

As a Project Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in delivering precise and effective planning services for designated projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervision and Support: Overseeing daily operations and providing guidance to all planning personnel within a designated project team.
- Collaboration: Working closely with Senior Management and the Proposals/Tendering team to create Level 2 project timelines.
- Resource Management: Organizing resource allocation and determining the necessary resources for each project phase, aligning with the project-specific budget.
- Progress Reporting: Ensuring smooth communication for activity progress updates and forecasting schedules and costs using standardized forms.
- Forecasting and Analysis: Actively predicting, trending, and analyzing scheduled activities.
- Schedule Development: Crafting project-specific timelines that clearly outline project processes and link activities for multi-functional team interactions.
- Communication: Maintaining open lines of communication with other Project Control staff (cost controllers, document controllers, estimators) to ensure excellence in project delivery.
- Planning Services: Providing the Project Manager with comprehensive and accurate planning schedules, capable of delivering routine Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value Analysis data for each project.
- Schedule Review: Evaluating all relevant engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction schedules, advising the Project Control Manager of any deviations from the baseline.
- Variance Identification: Detecting schedule discrepancies early and reporting issues to the Project Manager/Project Control Manager while developing mitigation strategies.
- Training: Offering training and support to junior planners and Project Control apprentices.
