Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and skilled Senior Manager to spearhead our B2B Lifecycle Marketing initiatives across various business sectors. This individual will possess a profound understanding of strategies to enhance customer growth and retention, particularly among business clientele. Collaboration will be key, as you will work closely with teams in Demand Generation, Analytics, Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Product, and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive Lifecycle and customer marketing strategy and roadmap.
  • Design, manage, and refine customer outreach efforts (including email and in-product notifications) to deliver tailored and relevant content to diverse user segments, such as welcome series, drip campaigns, product updates, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Develop and execute retention and upsell/cross-sell initiatives to achieve revenue and profitability objectives for the business segment.
  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for marketing automation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling email content and in-app messages that enhance user engagement.
  • Oversee CRM-related ROI, volume, and revenue targets; manage key reports on conversion rates, cross-sell performance, usage, and overall program effectiveness; keep stakeholders informed with regular reporting.
  • Work with research and analytics to apply qualitative and quantitative methods, utilizing rigorous A/B testing to identify growth drivers.
  • Engage with leaders across product, marketing, sales, data science, and insights to unlock new growth opportunities.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of customer marketers, fostering a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in CRM and marketing automation within a B2B context.
  • 3+ years of experience in team management.

Preferred Skills

  • Extensive experience with enterprise-level marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, Braze) and their various functionalities and integrations.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing CRM/lifecycle marketing disciplines and achieving revenue and ROI targets.
  • Proven expertise in identifying growth drivers for high-growth, tech-enabled businesses.
  • A test-and-learn mindset, with experience in driving growth and engagement through extensive A/B and multivariate testing.
  • Advanced knowledge of Lifecycle/Digital Marketing (Email, SMS, Push, In-Product), Personalization, and Growth Analytics (Segmentation, Database).
  • High proficiency in analyzing user funnels and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Experience with CRM technologies and systems, including Braze, Marketo, and Salesforce.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, understanding both the 'what' and the 'how' of achieving objectives.
  • Proactive, positive, and flexible with a strong bias towards action.
  • A passion for and experience in marketing to small and medium-sized enterprises.
