About the Role

The Global Key Account Director will play a critical role in driving growth and profitability for SPX FLOW's Food & Beverage key accounts globally. This senior role will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize future growth and profitability, while building long-term, sustainable relationships with our most valuable customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Serve as the lead point of contact for key customer account management matters and develop trusted advisor relationships.
  2. Maintain and enhance existing customer relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction, monitor operational performance, improve debtor days, identify new opportunities, and ensure continued partnership with customers.
  3. Evaluate market trends, align portfolio, engineering & sales activities to maximize growth.
  4. Calculate key customer needs (Voice of Customer), associated investment plans, and expansion opportunities.
  5. Develop new business to increase volume, revenue growth, and wallet share.
  6. Negotiate contracts/framework agreements to maximize profits with key accounts, customer stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
  7. Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  8. Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Forecast and track key account metrics (quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and prepare reports on account status.
  10. Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within existing and new territories.
  11. Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as required.
  12. Develop, update, and understand the Key Account Plan for each customer to map out its customers history and help determine their future.
Requirements
  1. At least 5 years of proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Manager, or relevant role.
  2. Customer & market focused, future oriented leader with relevant experience, developing & leading growth strategies within a Food & Beverage and industrial equipment organization.
  3. Knowledge of Nutrition & Health market is required.
  4. Strong business and organizational acumen, executive disposition & a strong bias for results.
  5. Effective relationship building skills.
  6. Proven ability to juggle multiple key accounts at a time, while maintaining attention to detail.
  7. Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.
  8. Good experience with CRM software (C4C advantageous), and MS Office.
  9. Innovate thinker delivering client-focused solutions to meet customer needs.
  10. Fluent spoken and written English & French languages.
  11. Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  12. Experienced working in an international environment within a matrix organization.
  13. Travel (including occasional international) up to 40% of the time.
  14. Bachelors'/Master's degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred.
