Job Overview: Strategic Sourcing Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate the procurement strategy and action plan for the assigned category, aligning with corporate and regional strategies.
  • Initiate and finalize tender processes, ensuring adherence to negotiated agreements.
  • Establish purchasing efficiency targets by segment and entity, reflecting the anticipated performance of the procurement function.
  • Prioritize project execution to achieve defined efficiency objectives.
  • Assess internal requirements with the assistance of business unit buyers.
  • Lead collaborative purchasing initiatives within the designated category.
  • Identify and engage key partners from Industrial Operations and regional or corporate teams to integrate them into the procurement strategy and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) execution.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental workgroups involving stakeholders, internal clients, and business unit or regional buyers.
  • Ensure the implementation, execution, and compliance with framework agreements, utilizing relevant performance indicators.
  • Guarantee comprehensive procurement coverage, analyze deployment gaps, and provide reporting to internal clients while implementing necessary improvement plans.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of the supplier landscape, establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with legal teams for contract validation and finance teams for confirmed savings.

Required Experience

7 to 10 years of demonstrated procurement experience.

Recognized expertise in the MINING category.

Educational Qualifications

Advanced training in procurement practices.
