Main Responsibilities:
As a Senior Method Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and selecting the proper methodology of installation related to the Scope of Work in charge. You will issue work procedures and detailed task plans as per project requirements, HSE, and quality project and client standards. You will also establish the required installation documents, taking into account the schedule of transmission of the deliverables to the client. Additionally, you will ensure the follow-up of client comments and document approval. You will define the part of the installation scope of work to be subcontracted and establish the subcontractor's scope of work. You will establish the listing of equipment required for the activity in charge. You will work in direct liaison with the project procurement manager to call for tenders and analyze the subcontractor's/suppliers proposal. You will participate in the selection of the subcontractor/supplier and validate the technical dossier. You will establish the schedule of equipment supply and resource plan, as well as the overall schedule of the activity. You will prepare technical reviews of procedures for the project and corporate technical team comments and approval. You will work in liaison with the operation engineer in charge of the performance of the scope and manage interfaces to ensure the feasibility of the operation as per the procedure. You will also prepare the work kick-off meeting with the team/subcontractor team and client representative. Once in operation, you will ensure that the work is performed in compliance with the procedure and task plan and within the estimated timeframe in the operation schedule. In case of change, you will propose alternative methods and participate actively in the management of change requirements.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a graduate engineering school degree and be immediately operational. You will also need to have between 5 and 7 years of experience in a similar position on offshore lifting and subsea installation. You will require general technical knowledge of offshore/marine/subsea work. You will need strong knowledge of offshore lifting and subsea installation. You will also need understanding of equipment used for offshore work. You will require knowledge of offshore work procedures. You will need knowledge of safety regulations. Familiarity with Orcaflex is also a must.
