PhD Research Project: Electrochemical Catalysts for Sustainable Energy

You will join an international research team at ESRF to investigate the transient stability of state-of-the-art catalyst materials in high-performance electrochemical devices.

The aim of the project is to systematically study the catalyst degradation mechanisms using high-energy X-rays, with the goal of determining future R&D directions for hydrogen production and fuel cell technologies.

As a PhD student, you will collaborate with global experts in academia and industry to advance science and address societal challenges.

Expected Profile:

  • Master's degree in chemistry, physics, materials science, or closely related field
  • Proficiency in English
  • Technical skills and enthusiasm for experimental science
  • Experience with electrochemistry and electrochemical energy conversion and storage is an asset
  • Basic knowledge of X-ray diffraction and programming
  • Meet eligibility criteria for PhD enrollment at Technische Universität Berlin

Working Conditions:

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. You will enjoy a competitive compensation package, including financial support for relocation to Grenoble.
