The RoleWithin the Android team of In-Person Payment - Gateway, your primary responsibility will be to design and enhance a cutting-edge Android payment device that Worldline is preparing for deployment to major European retailers.
You will be integral to this thrilling initiative, contributing to the initial release and subsequent versions in the coming years. Collaboration with both the French and Indian development and QA teams will be essential.
We seek an individual who possesses strong payment and Kotlin expertise, along with a collaborative spirit. Proficiency in technical English is required to facilitate teamwork with our Indian counterparts.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and challenges with your colleagues.
- Comprehend the detailed specifications that your team is tasked with developing.
- Formulate the optimal strategy for coding solutions that meet those specifications.
- Write high-quality code and unit tests to ensure software excellence.
- Deliver functional software to testing teams, ensuring compliance with requirements.
- Prepare and conduct demonstrations for stakeholders (Product Owner, Technical Leader, etc.).
- Contribute actively to the success of product releases.
- Propose technical improvements to the team and Product Owner proactively.
- Ensure the continuous integration system is operational and adhere to the team's Definition of Done.
- Engage fully in Agile methodologies.
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years in software development with a focus on Kotlin for Android.
- At least 3 years of experience in developing payment devices.
- Familiarity with Android development tools such as Android Studio.
- Knowledge of Gradle for Android projects.
- Proficient in version control systems like Gitlab.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM.
- Strong command of technical English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain quality in an international setting.
- Willingness to share knowledge and expertise with peers.
- Capability to interpret Worldline's needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet delivery challenges.
- Eagerness to expand knowledge in Payment technology and/or Android development.
- Self-motivated and capable of organizing daily tasks independently.
- Strong team-oriented mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
