Position Overview
SOCOTEC Monitoring France, a subsidiary of SOCOTEC Group, specializes in monitoring and instrumentation for various infrastructure types. Our mission is to establish ourselves as a global leader in the monitoring sector, emphasizing values such as teamwork, autonomy, performance, commitment, and excellence.
We are currently seeking a Method and Pricing Engineer (MEP) for a permanent role within our Civil Engineering Department. This position focuses on crafting financial and technical proposals in response to inquiries and tenders related to monitoring and surveying for diverse projects.
The areas of focus for this role include:
- Infrastructure projects like bridges, dams, tunnels, and maritime structures
- Assessment of aging buildings and structures
- Preservation of historical sites (churches, castles, monuments)
- Management of natural hazards (landslides, cliffs)
Reporting to the activity manager, this role involves close collaboration with the Civil Engineering team and the sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development (90%): Supporting commercial initiatives by tracking tenders, assisting sales representatives in client meetings, and managing incoming requests.
- Overseeing ongoing bids, organizing work schedules, and ensuring effective time management.
- Creating proposal documents that encompass technical, administrative, financial, and contractual aspects.
- Conducting design studies and defining technical solutions that align with client requirements.
- Engaging with subcontractors, suppliers, and partners during proposal development.
- Preparing technical documentation and cost estimates for commercial proposals.
- Participating in bid approval meetings with sales, activity managers, and department heads.
- Actively contributing to project reviews to enhance the quality and relevance of proposals.
- Assisting in the modernization of the Method and Pricing department through continuous improvement of existing tools.
Project Management and Technical Execution (10%):
- Drafting administrative and technical documents related to assigned projects (installation reports, measurement reports, maintenance procedures).
- Planning resources (equipment and personnel) for various project phases.
- Supervising the implementation of monitoring installations and participating in field interventions.
- Processing, analyzing, and interpreting field and laboratory data, producing analyses and reports based on site measurements.
- Managing subcontractors and suppliers, including procurement and quality control.
- Maintaining client relationships and presenting study results.
- Overseeing technical, contractual, and financial aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and addressing any financial discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnics, or Topography.
- Technical and regulatory knowledge in monitoring practices.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
- Client-oriented mindset and collaborative spirit.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail and proficient writing skills.
- Fluency in technical English.
- Valid driver's license is required.
