About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned and versatile lawyer to join our team as a Senior Legal Counsel. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a critical role in providing sound and actionable advice to our business teams, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and representing our interests towards external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the sustainable and successful growth of our company by providing expert legal advice and input to business decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Represent and defend our legal interests towards external stakeholders, such as contracting parties, authorities, and other external parties.
  • Drive corporate governance of local entities, and be responsible for company law matters, preparation of board and shareholders meetings, drafting of resolutions, and keeping of corporate books.
  • Conduct litigation, define and propose strategy, facilitate briefs and documentation preparation, and manage external providers (counsel, experts, and other).
  • Be curious and alert to constant change, keep a finger on the pulse of relevant legislation, and translate new legal frameworks into up-to-date and actionable guidance.
  • Contribute to law firm management, selection of providers, clear mandates, and supervision, and maximize value for money.

Requirements

  • Master of laws from a European university, with a degree from an English-speaking university being a plus.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with Spanish, Italian, or German being a plus.
  • Experience abroad is appreciated, and a field of specialty in commercial and corporate law, contract and litigation, is required.
  • Experience in compliance matters, including implementation of compliance programs, and competition law is a plus.
  • Well-versed in legal terminology and skilled in writing, with a professional and reliable attitude.
  • Quick learner, team worker, with strong sense of responsibility, and able to work independently with analytical skills.
