Global Procore Functional Specialist

Location: Flexible

ENGIE is dedicated to transforming the energy landscape through the worldwide implementation of a sustainable energy economy aimed at conserving the planet's natural resources. We seek skilled and motivated individuals who are passionate about realizing this vision.

Within the ENGIE Group, the Renewables Global Business Unit (R-GBU) is responsible for the development, financing, construction, and operation of solar, wind, hydropower, and battery storage projects globally; R-GBU's installed capacity exceeds 41 GW as of the end of 2023, with ambitions to reach 80 GW by 2030. R-GBU operates through a network of local entities worldwide, each with a significant degree of autonomy.

In this expanding environment, R-GBU is preparing to enhance its project management methodologies through a series of cross-entity initiatives. A primary goal is to equip project delivery teams with a project management platform during the construction phase while simultaneously contributing to the industrialization strategy by integrating standardized workflows, uniform concepts, and shared operational best practices into the platform.

The R-GBU has chosen PROCORE software as its standard platform for project delivery and is making significant progress in its geographical rollout across all entities. However, there is still much work to be done to achieve full deployment and further integrate processes and standards across all project disciplines.

To support this initiative, R-GBU is seeking a Global Procore Functional Specialist who will be part of the core team alongside a Product Owner and an IT manager, and will collaborate with a network of entity administrators and business process owners.

Key Responsibilities:

The Global Procore Functional Specialist will be responsible for the following:

Global Oversight of Platform Utilization:

  • Regularly assess all Procore instances to ensure configurations align with global governance standards.
  • Collaborate closely with entity administrators across various regions to ensure adherence to global and local processes and governance.
  • Act as the entity administrator for smaller regions during the initial ramp-up phase.

In-Tool Configuration & Advisory:

  • Work with the Product Owner, entity administrators, and process owners to gather requirements and define new functionalities for setup.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the implications of decisions within the solution and provide necessary guidance and warnings as required.
  • Manage and configure the core model in accordance with data governance (custom fields, translations, tool usage, permission templates).
  • Coordinate updates for Procore Analytics and interfaces related to fieldset/custom field changes.
  • Proactively collaborate with the Product Owner, IT administrator, and process owners to define, implement, and test new interfaces with Group tools.

Support for Deployment:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to establish and monitor KPIs and methods (surveys, interviews, etc.) to evaluate the success of Procore deployment.
  • Understand the unique characteristics of each entity and share best practices across the organization.
  • Create and maintain cross-functional reference materials as necessary, including processes or job roles related to the Procore platform.
  • Conduct ad-hoc demonstrations for diverse audiences, ranging from construction end-users to senior management.
  • Facilitate the global community of entity administrators on Procore within ENGIE and provide training on the platform and new features (train-the-trainer approach).
  • Serve as the primary contact for tool-related inquiries from entity administrators throughout the operational phase.

Active Engagement with Procore:

  • As part of a global Procore team at the Group level, actively participate in the product roadmap and assess the impacts of updates/upgrades on the ENGIE configuration.
  • Document and escalate issues to Procore within the R-GBU scope.
  • Stay informed about product developments and regularly engage with Procore at various levels.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in administering a SaaS project management platform (e.g., Procore, Aconex, Planisware, etc.) and enforcing governance on such platforms – prior experience with Procore is not essential.
  • Experience in updating or coordinating the update of dashboards and data models in PowerBI.
  • Interest in renewable energy projects and the construction industry.
  • Experience in a global organization or a multicultural international environment, balancing local nuances with a global perspective.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to various entities worldwide.
  • Detail-oriented and dependable.
  • High level of maturity in understanding business organizations – exhibits pedagogical skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences (from end-users to senior management).
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is highly valued, and knowledge of French is a plus.
