Senior Advisor, Learning and Knowledge Development

The mission of the Operations & Technology Training and Knowledge Development team is to enhance the learning experience of our teams regarding existing and new processes and systems. This is achieved by utilizing innovative technology, redefining knowledge deliverables, and improving engagement with the business user community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with user communities (functional and/or geographical) to identify training needs and challenges.
  2. Convert needs assessments into actionable enablement plans, coordinating with other Training and Knowledge Development Advisors on similar requirements.
  3. Effectively liaise with Training & Knowledge Development Specialists globally to standardize and align current training offerings and system/process reference materials.
  4. Design and conduct training sessions for core insurance systems and processes for the user community, both virtually and in-person, employing advanced learning methodologies and tools.
  5. Serve as a resource for complex user inquiries regarding existing and future systems.
  6. Provide support to team members based on deep expertise in current systems and processes, as well as upcoming systems aligned with the strategic roadmap.
  7. Assist in the transition to new reference materials (manuals, presentations, eLearning assets, etc.) as outlined in the Knowledge & Enablement 2026 strategy, while also maintaining existing reference tools as necessary.
  8. Actively contribute to the transformation of Training & Knowledge Development, including the rollout of new digital capabilities through project engagement and support.
  9. Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with overarching strategy, effective education design, and seamless execution.
  10. Support the Head of Operations & Technology Training and Knowledge Development with various tasks in a cooperative manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Over 10 years of experience as a business trainer (or relevant experience) with a focus on instructional design and effective training delivery; fostering and applying change behaviors.
  2. Strong understanding of insurance underwriting and implementation processes; prior experience in insurance underwriting or operations is essential.
  3. Proficient technical skills and experience in utilizing new technological capabilities (e.g., e-learning and mobile training).
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of the insurance market, various lines of business, global insurance program solutions, and related operational tasks and procedures.
  5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and French; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  6. Cultural awareness and sensitivity to effectively manage virtual (remote) and diverse teams.
