Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our structural biology capabilities in the biopharma and biotech markets. Your primary goal will be to develop and maintain a global client portfolio, increasing sales and revenue for our company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry, CDMO/CMO, animal health, cosmetics, and other related sectors.
  • Work closely with operations and the sales team to drive business growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to line management for business development and operational strategy.
  • Maintain and develop expertise in our target markets and services, using this knowledge to drive business growth.
  • Promote and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Work with operational scientific resources to meet customer needs and understand our offer.
  • Develop and maintain account awareness and evolving market knowledge, using CRM databases to enrich customer knowledge and track business.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in chemistry, biology, biophysics, or other Life Science fields related to our activities.
  • Several years of proven track record in selling drug discovery capabilities, particularly structural biology ones.
  • Good knowledge of structural biology activities, including cryogenic electron microscopy, protein crystallography, and protein structure determination.
  • Strong understanding of the drug discovery and regulatory process, as well as the commercial environment within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
  • At least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, preferably in pharmaceutical companies or CROs.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with fluency in English.
  • Enthusiastic, dynamic, and team-oriented, with a strong sense of responsibility and customer service.
  • Ability to travel worldwide, with a passion for the job and a willingness to learn and adapt.

The position is based in Strasbourg, with frequent travel expected throughout the world.
