Location: Flexible (Paris, France) - This position allows for a blend of office presence and remote work, subject to managerial approval.
Role Overview
GoPro is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to fill the role of Image Quality Assurance Engineer. This position entails overseeing the assessment of image quality for our cameras, as well as setting up and managing the equipment necessary for these evaluations within the IQ test laboratory, in collaboration with fellow Test Engineers. Our IQ Test Engineers are integral members of a global, cross-disciplinary team focused on sustaining and enhancing the exceptional image quality that defines GoPro's offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute image quality assessments according to established testing protocols.
- Conduct both objective and subjective analyses of image quality.
- Collect video and photographic data in both field and laboratory settings.
- Set up and operate testing apparatus, lighting, and other necessary equipment.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of IQ lab instruments.
- Collaborate with fellow IQ Engineers and Automation Engineers to define testing strategies, scheduling, and equipment enhancements.
Desired Skills
- Proven experience in image quality assessment, either in a testing capacity or through photography/videography.
- Knowledge of imaging technologies, image sensors, image processing, and standardized testing methodologies.
- Strong organizational capabilities coupled with excellent communication skills.
- Previous involvement in consumer product development is advantageous.
