Job OverviewBecome a Part of Our Team as a Full-Time Banquet Captain at Fairmont Olympic Hotel Are you a skilled leader with a knack for managing outstanding banquets and events? We are in search of a dedicated and meticulous Banquet Captain to oversee our banquet services. This essential role involves supervising the banquet floor and ensuring that our guests receive engaging, genuine, and personalized service. In the absence of the banquet manager or director, the Banquet Captain will participate in Banquet Event Meetings and Pre-Conference discussions. The Banquet Captain is responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding our standards, procedures, and guest satisfaction goals.

Act as an ambassador for the hotel, both on and off the premises. Deliver personalized service to all guests, adhering to hotel standards and procedures. Ensure a warm welcome for all guests upon their arrival to the banquet area. Provide a gracious farewell to guests, assisting them as they depart. Support team members in maximizing their service standards. Handle guest complaints professionally, ensuring resolution and satisfaction. Maintain awareness of and report all guest feedback. Keep logbooks updated and ensure proper handover between shifts. Adhere to key handling protocols. Respect schedules and deadlines as agreed with management. Stay informed about the latest operational updates and changes. Share daily highlights with supervisors, including guest opportunities. Remain flexible and adapt to last-minute requests from guests or management. Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management. QualificationsPrevious experience in customer service is preferred. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple requests. Strong passion for guest service, with excellent communication and training skills. Availability to work various hours, including holidays and weekends as needed.
