Transportation Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Marken. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient transportation of shipments through our vehicle fleet and local agent network.

Main Responsibilities:

• Coordinate collections, deliveries, drop-offs, and recoveries with other departments, agents, and drivers.
• Maintain constant communication with the packaging team to ensure availability of required supplies.
• Condition shipments as required.
• Create route legs depending on the service.
• Provide proper documentation to agents and drivers.
• Track shipments using the Maestro Wiki report.
• Confirm recovery completeness by matching information against the manifest.
• Ensure agents and drivers update information in the system through the mobile app.
• Perform periodic vehicle inspections to ensure they are in proper condition.
• Provide expedited dispatch for NFO shipments.
• Notify discrepancies to relevant departments, agents, or offices and update Maestro accordingly.
• Update the Tableau board.
• Upload documents in the system in a timely manner.
• Download TT4's in the system in a timely manner.
• Place delay codes and notes in Maestro.
• Update the dispatch turnover spreadsheet for the next shift.
• Confirm and print emails for pickups.
• Maintain consistent communication with export and import for airport recoveries and drops.
• Know the location of drivers and LSP's at all times.
• Replenish local deliveries as necessary.
• Paying for import shipments.
• Create pick-up orders for airlines.
• Review the route leg alert screen in Maestro.

Requirements:

• Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations, and related regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in a GDP environment.
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication skills.
