About the Role

BDO Luxembourg, a leading professional services firm, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Diekirch/Weiswampach. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing expert accounting and tax services to our clients, including start-ups, large companies, SMEs, family businesses, and the self-employed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts, tax returns, and annual reports;
  • Supervise and review the general accounting performed by your team, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Develop and implement effective accounting and tax strategies to optimize client outcomes;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs are met;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve internal processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and contributing to the growth of our client base;
  • Train and develop your team, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Requirements
  • Chartered accountant or equivalent qualification;
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role, managing a portfolio of local commercial clients within a fiduciary or Big-4 firm in Luxembourg;
  • Proven leadership and technical expertise, with a strong track record of delivering results;
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
  • Fluency in French, German, and English (knowledge of Luxembourgish is an asset).
