Position: Lead Method Engineer
Specialization: Structure lifting and subsea installation for a FPSO project
Main Responsibilities:- Analyze and select the proper methodology of installation related to the Scope of Work in charge.
- Develop and issue work procedures and detailed task plans as per project requirements, HSE, and quality project and client standards.
- Establish the required installation documents, taking into account the schedule of transmission of the deliverables to the client.
- Ensure the follow-up of client comments and document approval.
- Define the part of the installation scope of work to be subcontracted and establish the subcontractor's scope of work.
- Establish the listing of equipment required for the activity in charge.
- Work in direct liaison with the project procurement manager to call for tenders and analyze the subcontractor's/suppliers proposal.
- Participate in the selection of the subcontractor/supplier and validate the technical dossier.
- Establish the schedule of equipment supply and resource plan, as well as the overall schedule of the activity.
- Prepare technical reviews of procedures for the project and corporate technical team comments and approval.
- Work in liaison with the operation engineer in charge of the performance of the scope and manage interfaces to ensure the feasibility of the operation as per the procedure.
- The Method Engineer could follow the operation at site and ensure the correct understanding of the work procedures.
- Prepare the work kick-off meeting with the team/subcontractor team and client representative.
- Once in operation, the Method Engineer ensures that the work is performed in compliance with the procedure and task plan and within the estimated timeframe in the operation schedule.
- In case of change, he/she proposes alternative methods and participates actively in the management of change requirements.
- Graduate engineering school, immediately operational.
- Between 5 and 7 years of experience in a similar position on offshore lifting and subsea installation.
- General technical knowledge of offshore/marine/subsea work.
- Strong knowledge of offshore lifting and subsea installation.
- Understanding of equipment used for offshore work.
- Knowledge of offshore work procedures.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Familiarity with Orcaflex.
Duration: 12 months
Location: Based in France with frequent travels
