Eiffage Route is a leading player in the improvement of the French network, from communal roads to highway designs, construction, and maintenance. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the site, coordinating with the Works Supervisor and various trades to ensure construction works meet schedules and commitments.
Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Complete onboarding of employees, temporary staff, and sub-contractors, verifying authorizations and presenting the building site, its challenges, risks, and construction works to employees.
- Site Preparation and Installation: Ensure availability and consistency of all building site administrative documentation, define and review construction works, establish the construction works schedule and operating procedure, and communicate necessary procedures and documentation to teams.
- Monitoring of Construction Works: Supervise the setup of construction, present the building site to teams, outlining its challenges, main characteristics, and dividing up work into tasks to be completed, monitor progress of works schedule, perform technical checks during construction, and decide on corrections to be made.
- Site Handover: Ensure successful completion of each part of the works, ensure full completion of construction works, and organize building site withdrawal, cleaning, inventory, and participate in construction handover.
- Quality, Prevention, Security, Environment Quality: Ensure full application of guidelines, procedures, and rules to oversee individual and collective security on the building site, produce reporting for various managers regarding completed construction works and difficulties experienced, and ensure quality and security of construction works within planned lead times.
- Pipe Works Site Supervisor/Feeder: Guarantee complete registration of networks before start of construction works, ensure shallow trenches or trenches deeper than 1.30 meters are excavated, ensure shoring and shielding, and ensure safe handling of existing pipelines.
- Demolition/Decontamination Site Supervisor: Check that all required diagnostics have been obtained, guarantee complete registration of networks before start of construction works, respect withdrawal plan, ensure training of personnel and medical aptitude for asbestos work, and ensure waste tracking.
- Rail Works Site Supervisor: Ensure compliance with specific safety standards for rail works, check building site cleanliness and compliance at end of each shift to avoid rail accidents, and manage maintenance of tracks and platforms.
- Earthworks Site Supervisor: Manage maintenance of tracks and platforms, ensure compliance with standards, manage implementation and enforcement of traffic zones, and manage and anticipate completion of construction works.
- Roads Supervisor: Excavate trenches, use laser to make trapezoidal ditches, embankments, shoulders, curved or sloping trenches, and check curve, adjust excavation floors and develop pipe networks, and ensure laying of various service pipes.
- Significant experience as a Team Leader.
- Authorizations: BR-B2V electrics authorization, M2 mechanics authorization, Authorization to intervene near networks (AIPR) + Minimum Safety Training Standards (SMS) (compulsory).
- Decontamination Site Supervisor: Authorization for sub-section 3 asbestos building site supervision.
Reporting line: Works Supervisor. Internal relations: Engineering Consultants (BE), Support Department, Journeymen, etc. External relations: sub-contractors, clients, suppliers, local residents, service providers, etc.
