About the Job
The Assembly of European Regions (AER) is seeking a highly skilled Financial and Administrative Manager to oversee the general financial administration of the association. This includes managing the association's finances, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the association's financial systems, including the Cegid Quadra accounting software. They will also be responsible for preparing and submitting financial reports to the Executive Board and ensuring that the association's financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported.
The Financial and Administrative Manager will work closely with the Secretary General and the Treasurer to ensure that the association's financial matters are properly managed. They will also be responsible for ensuring that the association's financial systems are up to date and that all financial transactions are properly documented.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the association's financial systems, including the Cegid Quadra accounting software
- Prepare and submit financial reports to the Executive Board
- Ensure that the association's financial transactions are accurately recorded and reported
- Work closely with the Secretary General and the Treasurer to ensure that the association's financial matters are properly managed
- Ensure that the association's financial systems are up to date and that all financial transactions are properly documented
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of full professional experience in a similar role
- University degree (BA, BSc or higher) in relevant subjects (e.g., accounting, finance) or alternatively, successfully completed specialist or vocational training as an accountant, plus first concrete experience in this field of work
- Knowledge of Cegid Quadra accounting software or other similar software is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Familiarity with cloud-based computing, collaborative document editing and working in business communication platforms, such as Slack
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and French
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to function in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
- Familiarity with working with associations, non-profit organisations or small and medium enterprises

€2,600-€3,100 (dependent on experience)
