Job Title
Product Marketing Principal Specialist - Airport & Airline Operations (AAO)Role Overview:
In the Airport and Airline Operations (AAO) sector, the DMX PMM will be an integral part of the DMX (Delivery of the Future) Product Marketing team. This newly established position aims to bolster the expanding AAO business and the evolution of DMX. The DMX PMM will report directly to the Product Marketing Lead and engage closely with the DMX PLC Core team (Product Management, Engineering, Finance, etc.). The DMX PMM will execute Product Marketing initiatives throughout the Product Lifecycle (PLC) process.
Key Responsibilities:
Market and Customer Insights:
- Analyze market dynamics, including trends, regulations, and Total Addressable Market (TAM) estimations.
- Evaluate the competitive landscape and its potential impact on product strategy.
- Propose effective messaging and outline necessary features and functionalities.
- Identify strategies for market entry, assess market risks, and evaluate market feasibility.
- Communicate market requirements to Product Managers, focusing on solutions, features, value propositions, messaging, and distribution channels.
Product Strategy Development:
- Contribute to the overarching strategy and vision, including high-level requirements, current and future journey mapping, initial product features, business model considerations, and partnership opportunities.
- Oversee strategic pricing for products, validate billing models, and develop business cases in collaboration with Product Managers.
Customer Engagement:
- Develop and maintain user personas while gathering customer feedback.
- Assess the implications of product roadmap changes on customer value propositions and messaging, along with local market requirements.
- Assist the Product Manager with customer feedback, mapping current and future journeys, compiling feature lists, and defining pilot programs.
Performance Measurement and Scaling:
- Generate external-facing product features and use case documentation.
- Craft market-oriented messaging that aligns with value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
- Facilitate communication and training initiatives for the sales organization.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
• Extensive experience (over 6-7 years) in Product Management, Portfolio Management, Strategy, or Strategic Marketing roles, ideally within the IT sector.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Proficient in simplifying complex information for clear understanding.
• Results-driven with a problem-solving orientation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the entire Product Marketing process.
• Adaptable and flexible, thriving in a complex and dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with the Airline and/or Airport industry and understanding of Amadeus' internal network is a significant advantage.
