Job Summary

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Environmental Health Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team, you will play a critical role in driving improvements on-site and at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage health and safety programs, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive safety initiatives.
  • Analyze data reports and root causes to provide leadership with the information needed to make safety-related decisions.
  • Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies.
  • Drive programs to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon.
  • Travel within the covered region to support site-based initiatives.

About the Team:

Our WHS team works closely with managers, associates, and local governments to ensure compliance with Amazon's policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe. We are committed to fostering a culture of safety and inclusivity on our sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Lean, 5S, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability.
  • Relevant experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
  • Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management.
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
