About the Role:

EPEX SPOT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our software development life cycle, you will be responsible for implementing quality assurance best practices and ensuring high-quality standards throughout our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements to ensure thorough coverage.
  • Collect and assess the test basis, design and prioritize test cases to ensure effective testing.
  • Execute planned test cases, both manual and automated, and document test case execution and defects accurately.
  • Test API functionality to ensure it meets specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Transfer knowledge to end-users and support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase.
  • Check test outcomes against exit criteria and support clients during the installation and integration of API solutions.

Requirements:

  • Expertise in software quality assurance practices and principles throughout the software development life cycle.
  • Ability to document test deliverables clearly, completely, and traceably according to ISTQB and EPEX best practices.
  • Proficiency in working with Jira, Apwide, test management tools, Postman, and SOAPUI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a capacity to analyze, synthesize information, and suggest innovative solutions to problems.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, IT, Science, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent.
  • ISTQB/CFTL/TMAP Foundation Level, PSM1 (optional).
  • Minimum of 4 years as a QA Analyst and 3 years working with APIs and Agile development methodologies.
