**Job Summary**

The Pastry Demi Chef de Partie is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operation of the Pastry Kitchen. As a leader in the kitchen, you will support the Executive Pastry Chef, Pastry Sous Chef, and Pastry Chef de Partie in managing the station and ensuring the highest quality of baked goods and pastries.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, scones, and desserts for all food and beverage operations
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications, adhering to special dietary instructions where required
  • Assist in training culinary skills to junior staff members
  • Contribute to menu creation and development
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Ensure station opening and closing procedures are carried out to standard
  • Clean and maintain station and overall Pastry kitchen, adhering to good safety practices and sanitation and food production procedures
  • Assist with ordering and inventory management
  • Enforce Health & Safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

**Requirements**

  • Culinary degree in baking and/or pastry arts, with 2 years of large-volume baking/pastry experience or 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience and proficiency in both small and large-scale baking operations
  • Previous experience in a leadership role in the kitchen, with a proven track record of success
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position, with high standards for quality and presentation
  • Self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
