The Finance team is aligned with the Firm's strategy and has the vision to be one global team connected within a robust control environment, collaborating to deliver value for clients and colleagues across the Firm. We consider three end-to-end business cycles in the One Finance Team: Order to Cash (O2C), Record to Report (R2R), and Procure to Pay (P2P) which are supported by the specialist teams across Tax, Treasury, Partner Remuneration, Controls, Governance, and Systems. We are looking for a manager for the R2R business cycle for the Paris office. The R2R Manager will work closely with the Head of Finance of the Paris office and be responsible to further improve the control environment of the office, within the accounting, accounts payable and treasury areas. The R2R Manager will also contribute to the preparation of adequate reporting and budget for internal stakeholders and in particular the Paris office Partners. Key Responsibilities - Prepare all statutory and tax filings required by local regulations and ensure maintenance of a reconciliation between local regulatory reporting and group IFRS reporting - Liaise with internal tax teams and external tax advisors to support preparation of all tax reporting - Ensure financial processes and controls operate effectively, with all reconciliations completed on a timely basis and differences investigated and resolved promptly - Manage internal and external audits and ensure audit recommendations are promptly and fully implemented - Liaise with global treasury teams to ensure French and global requirements are met including to ensure timely settlement of all intercompany balances and facilitate optimal management of the Firm's cash balances whilst ensuring liabilities are settled as they fall due - Build a constructive relationship with the Firm's relationship banks, external and internal auditors - Through liaison with reporting and accounting communities, implement and ensure the continuous improvement of working practices and controls, with a focus on optimisation and safeguarding of efficient processes - Prepare monthly reporting and extended quarterly and year reporting under global Firm accounting policies and procedures; ensure all reporting requirements are met on a timely basis and accurately adhere to accounting policies on a "right first-time" basis - Support the office Head of Finance in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, as well as preparing additional reporting and analysis; ensure reporting provides a clear financial narrative and adheres to a "one version of truth" methodology - Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the central R2R teams (Accounting and Reporting) in the Delhi and London offices; play an active role in One Finance Team initiatives including within the Reporting and Accounting communities Skills, Experience & Qualifications - qualification experience of financial accounting in a responsible position, ideally within an international service company. - In-depth knowledge of commercial law, IFRS and tax law (sufficient knowledge to manage) - Oversight of outsourced personal tax returns, ability to prepare and submit statutory filings (for the company and partnership) - Experience in project management and in the implementation of process optimisation - High social skills, strong written and oral communication skills in both French and English - Analytical and conceptual way of thinking and working combined with a "can do " mentality Our Code of Conduct Our values-based Code of Conduct consists of five Principles that embody who we are and what we stand for.
