**Trading Application Support Engineer**
**Paris**

**What will you be doing?**:

- Leading and providing end to end assistance service for front office users, and ensuring we provide high availability assistance for the trading desk
- Leading real-time trading systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas, and tracking outstanding issues and working with the appropriate group to solve
- Doing continuous business engagement to ensure that trading systems are maintained and enhanced to meet current and ongoing control standards & data protection
- Tracking outstanding issues actively and working with the appropriate group to solve the issues
- Engaging and negotiating with vendor teams and other third-party groups within the organization and reach alignment with all stakeholders on a plan

**What we’re looking for**:

- Broad knowledge of concepts of trading business and end to end business process and workflows
- Good working knowledge of operating system platforms (UNIX, Linux, SQL, Windows) and database and SQL skills (Oracle, SQL Server)
- Scripting (e.g., Python, perl, shell, bash.), Autosys and ITRS (Geneos)
- Good experience of client and exchange connectivity platforms with exposure to exchange APIs and market driven protocols

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Product knowledge of Equities (Cash, Derivatives), or exposure to other products within Rates, FX, Commodities or Credit would be considered
- Broad knowledge of one or more of the following: concepts of financial products risk management, awareness of financial instrument pricing
- Degree in an IT or Mathematics related discipline
- Exposure to network connectivity investigation and diagnostics and low latency, High Frequency Trading platforms of benefit
