In 2022, Bonhams added four international auction houses to its network: Bukowskis, Stockholm; Bruun Rasmussen, Copenhagen; Cornette de Saint Cyr, Paris and Brussels; and Skinner, Massachusetts. The success of Bonhams’ global strategy is a result of recognising the shift in growing intercontinental buying and increased digital engagement.
**About the Role**
Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr is hiring a Client Development Manager for Europe with a focus on France, Switzerland & Belgium and supporting the European Representative network. This role will be based in our Paris saleroom.
The role will report to Bonhams Global Head of Client Development with regular engagement with Bonhams management in Europe including our Managing Director of Europe.
The role will primarily support the sourcing of consignments across Bonhams CSC regional network in Europe as well as the selling departments active in those regions.
The role will work within a growing global Client Development team and presents an opportunity to develop the role and strategy within this exciting and growing field.
We are seeking to fill this position effective 1st September 2025.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Identifying key client targets across Europe for Specialists, Business Getters and Regional Representatives in those areas
- Organize and lead teams meeting with the different regions or departments to help them to consign and sell the sales
- Establishing regular review of top private clients across the region and establishing engagement strategy for those target clients
- Regularly review New and Dormant clients across region for review and engagement with client facing team
- Support key flagship sales from Paris saleroom to aid in selling those sales
- Identifying key ‘introducers’ to engage for consignment getting
- Client identification would take place via:
- Use of Bonhams client database & data systems
- Specialist and Business Getter’s existing networks and client relationships
- Research of both introducer and private client networks
- These targets would be used for:
-Travel and client visits
- Specific consignment campaigns
- Events
- General client engagement
- Ensure that all key client data for clients in the region is reflected in Bonhams’ systems
**Key Skills and Experience**
- French & English Fluency Required, additional European languages would be advantageus
- Previous experience with database use and management required, specific experience with Tableau would be advantageous
- Advanced MS Office experience, particularly with Microsoft Excel
- Previous auction house experience required with 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial and creative approach to generating opportunities
- Detail orientated, organized and strong with time management to work with deadlines assigned from the business
- Willingness and ability to interface between data systems as well as specialists and business-getters
- Track record of team-work to deliver goals in a busy and fast paced environment
