- agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor. As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Amentum is recruiting an established (from 7 years) **Off-site Supervisor (F/H)**to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Prefabrication monitoring and workshop interface management; workshop visits ( 1 visit / workshop / quarter), for all the concerned workshops identified, currently 7 workshops for the 3 TCC Contracts;
- Preparing QC supervision plan and inspection check-lists;
- Participation in PIM (Pre-Inspection Meetings);
- Reviewing construction Contractor’s quality control related manufacturing and installation; procedures and relevant inspection and test plans (MIP/ITP) prior to the workshop visit;
- Performing inspections of mechanical, piping and pressure vessel prefabrication;
- Evaluation of the validity and acceptability of inspection and test results;
- Generating prefabrication and inspection monitoring reports after each visit;
- Reviewing final ITP including associated manufacturing and installation documentation;
- Reviewing non-conforming descriptions & action plan and assessing remedial and corrective actions;
- Identifying and managing prefabrication risk through mitigation strategies to be instructed to the contractors;
- Reporting piping and welding related quality issues;
- Maintain a positive relationship between the works contractors and IO;
- Assess physical progress;
- Checking that the prefabrication teams are sufficiently resourced according to the schedule and workload;
- Review of Quality Control procedures & records (MIP, Manufacturing dossier, NC,...)
