Statkraft Group Procurement is responsible for category management and execution of procurement in large projects within all technologies such as Hydropower, Onshore and Offshore Wind, and Solar power across Europe, South Asia and South America. Group Procurement is also responsible for procurement processes, systems, methods and following up on a sustainable supply chain. The department consists of around 100 procurement specialists.

**Job Description**:
**6-month internship based in our Paris office**

Join us as our new Procurement Analyst for Energy Storage and you will influence the development of sustainability and value creation in all critical procurement activities. You will build synergies with Statkraft’s sustainable supply chain, strategy, cost of energy, project ownership and technical teams. You will support the category manager to raise drive the adoption of new technologies and implement lessons learned in projects and with suppliers. With a global perspective, and an advance strategic and commercial mindset, you will support the company’s international growth strategy.

Your role:
You will report to the Category Manager for Energy Storage based in Statkraft’s Paris office and work transversally across the organization.

The key aspects of the role is a cross functional support to the category team in relation to energy storage.

Your responsibilities will include:
**Category Strategy**
- Support and develop category strategies for battery-related primary equipment
- Prequalify new suppliers and assess sustainability risks and implement mitigation strategies for key technologies and markets.
- Monitor, analyse and forecast the various supply markets in order to anticipate changes and prepare implementation with a 2-3-year timescale.
- Contribute to establishing best practices category management methodology

**Procurement Support**
- Support and secure consistency of costing information across projects, technologies and regions.
- Help the qualifications process with in-depths screening of Tier 1 suppliers
- Drive the drafting of a training session for internal purposes around the procurement of energy storage
- Assist the category manager by making presentations to suppliers, internal monthly stakeholder meetings, external supplier meetings
- Support during the negotiations of the frameworks (i.e.: contract consolidation)
- Write a weekly monitoring of storage news for a newsletter to stakeholder
- Create supplier profiles (summary of supplier main information)

**Qualifications**:

- Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree in a STEM-related field of study (finance, economics, econometrics, statistics, mathematics, physics or equivalent quantitative discipline)
- Experience and familiarity with contract terms, ideally FIDIC contract
- Strong excel user and ability to easily use new software tools for procurement
- Strong team player able to co-operate with members from technical, commercial and legal teams from initiation to execution
- Strong commercial mind-set and high level of initiative and motivation
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
- International experience would be a differential
