Role Overview

We are looking for:

- GBU Aroma Performance is targeting to triple its sales by 2030 for biobased food, nutrition and fragrance ingredients. The Project is one of the key innovation project participating to this growth which is led with the support of the Biomattec platform. It aims at creating a new to world access to biobased aromatic molecules, mostly pyrocatechol and derivatives, from a new bio-based feedstock derived from wood.
- The biggest chalenge for the position is the complexity of manufacturing process and the need to lead and coordinate several streams, supplier partnerships, marketing, R&I, industrial and sustainability.

We count on you for:

- You will create a new value chain integrating by design unquestionable LCA and sustainability attributes to the target pyrocatechol derivatives. By succeeding the development of this first step at kty scale, offer the possibility to Solvay to further scale-up and massify this new route.
- You will be responsible for defining the the most appropriate industrial configuration and investment strategy to implement the new purification separation and purification process.
- You will ensure the progress of the Project according to the plans defined by the stream leaders.
- Report the progress at the monthly Steering Committee with Aroma LT and Biomattec platform director, propose associated action plan and next milestones/deliverables
- You will be responsible for a multidisciplinary international team management with most interfaces in LATAM, NAM and EMEA.

You will bring:

- Master degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
- Solid and proven experience in project management, demonstrating leadership and entrepreneurship in creating a new bio-based and sustainable value chain
- Basic financial analysis capability
- People management to coordinate people from multidisciplinary teams
- Organization and structure approach toward the different stakeholders
- Experience of tolling management such as selection of tollers, negotiation of contracts, industrial and cost targets performance follow up.
