Mission

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for a list of assigned customers in the region he/she is in charge of. He/she will implement the sales strategy to fulfil customer requirements and grow Renishaw presence in his/her region. He/she interacts with the Technical Team constantly throughout the sales process (including aftersales) to perfectly understand and respond to the customer needs through strong economical & technical value propositions.

Main responsibilities:

- Achieving sales targets for Renishaw products, services & solutions to end-user customers and OEMs/OEM Distributors
- Developing business through channel partners
- Advising on process control and implementing key projects with customers to achieve sales and growth targets
- Delivering technical sales presentations to all levels of staff in customer organisations
- Identifying and exploiting new business opportunities and providing commercial and technical solutions to customers’ needs in a compelling way
- Maintaining a qualified enquiry pipeline report in CRM so that there is sufficient quoted business to meet and exceed revenue targets
- Participation in sales meetings, exhibitions and trade events around the country and the area assigned
- Traveling to potential and existing customers within an assigned sales area to present company offerings and build brand awareness.
- Developing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Mechanical or General Engineering
- Valuable master’s Degree in Mechanics or related
- Industrial Metrology (not a must but desired)
- Proven experience in solution sales with proven knowledge across all elements of the sales process
- Experienced with engineering products in B2B markets (ideally industrial metrology, automation, aerospace, electronics or related)
- French as mother tongue or bilingual
- Good spoken and written English language skills
- Strong commercial acumen and project management skills
- Ability to understand customer needs (present & future), pain points and transform into a solution embedding Renishaw offerings
- Ability to identify, pursue and win Capex projects sales
- Ambition and strategic thinking
- Ability to support, nurture and grow a network of channel partners
- Strong negotiation skills
