**Job Description**:

**This position is based in Colombes at one of our six European CADE Division sites (330 employees).** **The Mechanical and Applications Engineer manages special product projects (Oil & Gas, Industry, etc.) and major new product development for the Division. Within the engineering department, he is responsible for the calculation and design of products related to these projects. Additionally, he collaborates with international key accounts, sales teams, and the design department to propose existing technical and commercial solutions, study modifications, or develop innovative solutions. The accumulator range includes two main products: bladder accumulators and piston accumulators.**

**Job Purpose**

Additionaly to this role, he is in direct contact with our international key accounts, our sales forces and our design department in order to suggest technical and commercial existing solutions, study changes or innovative solutions.

The accumulator range is composed of 2 main products : bladder accumulators and piston accumulators.

**Job responsibilities**
- Tactical Projects Managemet : Animate feasibility meetings (offer preparation) and presale meetings (order preparation), and ensures projects follow-up for special products production with supply chain, planning and production team
- Calculation & product design : Design products according to customers or projects specifications, issue 3D files and 2D drawings, create bill of materials and routings in our ERP system and ensure that all technical databases linked to operations or regulations are up to date.
- Sizing & Product Identification : Identify the best solution adapted to the customer problematic taking into account his technical, quality and delivery requirements. Size products according to customer specifications with the help of calculation softwares, technical documents or technical and engineering departments.
- Quotation & Technical Support : Prepare and establish quotes for our sales forces, customers, prospects for special products or high added value markets. Ensure high level technical support for our key products ranges.
- Optimization & Development : In consideration of customers requests and markets trends, work closely with the marketing team in order to rationalize our different product ranges. With the support of technical department colleagues and engineering team, optimize the existing design of our different product ranges in order to increase our competitiveness, fit to the different market standards or simplify/rationalize our design.
- Operations support and continuous improvement : Initiate and monitor the new part numbers creation process till order acknowledgement. Continuously improve the quality of bills of material and the relevance of routings in our MRP system in order to optimize our processes and Parker profitability. Participate actively in continuous improvement internal projects.
- Marketing & self service tools support : supports marketing in web tools development (econfigurators, product documentation,) and participate to the development and maintenance of our online sizing softwares

**Qualifications, Skills and Experiences**
- Master’s Degree in mechanical or hydraulics engineering
- Mechanical design experience with CAD softwares (ideally Inventor)
- Customer Service Orientation
- Speak and write fluent English
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communicant, curiosity, leadership
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Proven and recognized experience in project management
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a close technical field would be a plus
