**Duties**:
Responsible for the processing of the Residence Employees (ORE)' payroll for the Missions in France.

Assistant for the Merit Based Compensation (MBC) program.

Coordinates the mandatory appointments with the Health and Occupational Center.

In charge of the maintenance of all LE staff e-files and the digitalization of the entire current paper personal files.

SharePoint webmaster for Human Resources (HR) pages on Missions SharePoint.

**Qualifications and Evaluations**:

- Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in the field of human resources, including one year of payroll, is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Good working knowledge of French payroll and HR related areas.

Good working knowledge of the French Social Security system and the French Labor Code related to leave and benefits (illness, job-injury, maternity, paternity, etc.).

Completion of secondary school is required.

Post may choose to add the phrase “This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.

LANGUAGE: English - Good working knowledge - Speaking/Reading/Writing is required.
French - Good working knowledge - Speaking/Reading/Writing is required.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Excellent communications and customer service skills are required.

Ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities on a daily basis.

Ability to work under pressure.

Must be detailed-oriented.

Strong ability to work with figures.

Must have strong computer skills (MS Office suite, WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK, ACROBAT).

Ability to maintain and protect personnel sensitive information.

Ability to be objective, discreet, and to actively listen to clients concerns and provide guidance to effectively resolve issues.

**SALARY**: the **annual gross salary includes**: the profit-sharing allowance, the vacation allowance, the bonus allowance and the “Comité d’Entreprise” allowance.

**MEAL TICKETS**: Meal tickets have a face value of EUR 8.25/day. 60% of the daily amount is paid by the U.S. Government. An employee contribution of EUR 3.30 per ticket will be deducted in payroll. The number of meal tickets is limited to 202 workdays per year.

**TRANSPORTATION**:Employees are eligible for a reimbursement of 50% of the cost of public transportation passes purchased for commuting purposes.

**HOLIDAYS**: The U.S. Missions in France observe eleven U.S. holidays per year and up to ten French holidays.

**For EFMs**, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.

The certification letter should be on letterhead of the appropriate military branch of the service and contain (1) the military service dates including the expected discharge or release date; and (2) the character of service. Acceptable documentation must be submitted in order for the preference to be given.

**This level of preference applies to all Foreign Service employees on LWOP and CS with re-employment rights back to their agency or bureau.
