**About You**

As the Logistics Manager at Bonhams | Cars, you will be responsible for overseeing the logístical operations of our off-site auctions, ensuring their seamless execution from start to finish. Your role will focus on coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and supporting the broader team in delivering a high-quality auction experience.

**About the Role**

In your role as a Logistics Manager, you will:

- **Auction Logistics Management**:Oversee all logístical aspects of our auctions, including transportation, setup, and handling of sale items (cars and automobilia).
- **External Contractor Coordination**:Act as the main point of contact for external suppliers, including shipping companies, customs agents, set designers, and event organizers.
- **Collaboration with International Teams**:Liaise with representatives from various countries where our car auctions are held, ensuring smooth coordination of logistics for each event.
- **Venue Management**:Maintain strong relationships with auction venues, ensuring that all requirements are met for each event.
- **Budgeting and Financial Oversight**:Work alongside the Head of Department and Business Director to create and manage auction budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- **Database Management**:Maintain an up-to-date database of events, venues, and departmental expenses for tracking and reporting purposes.
- **Cross-Department Collaboration**:Collaborate with marketing, client development, and events teams to support initiatives such as VIP receptions and other client engagement opportunities around sales.
- **Enhancing Customer Experience**:Contribute to creating an exceptional customer experience, particularly within the auction room.

In your role as special project Operations Manager for continental Europe, you will be required to carry out the following:

- **Offsite Sales Logistics**:Assist in the planning and execution of offsite sales for non-car departments across Europe, ensuring all logístical details are managed efficiently.
- **Sponsor Program Development**:Work closely with the Bonhams departments, particularly the Wine Department, to develop and maintain an ongoing sponsor program for fine art and car sales.
- **Sponsorships/Partnerships**:Work with the team to identify key partners/sponsors cross-departments to create added value for auctions in Europe.
- **Collaboration with Operations Manager**:Liaise with the Operations Manager for Europe to provide support on ongoing initiatives and special projects, such as securing new venues in Paris, managing storage, and coordinating with service providers.

**Key Skills and Attributes**
- Have good communication skills, both written and oral
- Proven experience in the logistics and auction sales and related events
- Excellent organization and budget driver
- Ability to prioritise and meet strict scheduled deadlines
- Have excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in MS Office
- Self-motivated, well organised with a positive attitude
- Flexible and proactive team player
- High degree of tact, diplomacy and discretionBilingual French and English
