Accounting Manager

This job is based in Paris for the MEDIA BU of BFM/RMC Group.
**YOUR ROLE**:
As part of RMC-BFM's Finance Department, the position reports directly to the Accounting and Consolidation Manager.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
**1. Accounting supervision**:

- Supervise the accounting team and train new members
- Supervise and control payroll and social security declarations
- Participate in management closing
- Supervise accounting review work
- All other synchronization tasks with other financial departments
- Manage regulatory audits
- Implement corrective actions to guarantee the regularity, accuracy and quality of financial statements.

**2. Preparation of financial reporting**:

- Prepare financial statements and reports for management
- Prepare and validate tax returns and periodic declarations (VAT, corporation tax, transfer price declarations, other taxes).
- Participate in management closing
- Coordinate and contribute to the uploading of CMA CGM Group consolidation packages into the conso reporting tool (OneStream) for the RMC-BFM subsidiaries under responsibility (uploading of packages, intra-group, correction entries, validation of aggregates, etc.).

**3. Consolidation**:

- Contribution to the production of consolidated figures in the conso reporting tool (OneStream), with the support of the head office Consolidation team (min. 2 times a year).
- Drafting of consolidated financial statements, with external support where necessary, and active participation in external audit work (2 times a year).
- Analysis of covenants (including ability to repay financing) based on consolidated financial statements.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education: Accounting degree (min. 5 years of higher education in accounting, management, finance or a similar field).
- Experience: 5 to 8 years' experience (excluding internships and work-study programs) in a similar position in an accounting department or public accounting firm. Experience in consolidation and knowledge of the audiovisual sector would be a plus.
- Technical skills: proficiency in IFRS and French accounting standards, proficiency in SAP and office automation tools, understanding of consolidation issues (tools, standards, etc.).
- Languages: Fluency in French and good level of professional English.
- Other skills: In addition to the skills expected for this type of position (good communication skills, rigor, autonomy, ability to listen and team spirit), dynamism, pragmatism and good relations with operational staff are key assets for success in this position.
