**About the role**:
As Accounting Manager at Finary, you’ll be at the heart of our financial operations. Reporting directly into our Sr Finance Manager, and as the first accounting role in the team, this is a unique opportunity to own and scale the accounting function in a high-growth, regulated fintech company.

You’ll manage day-to-day accounting activities - from accounts payable and receivable to financial closings, investor reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Your role is both operational and strategic: you’ll coordinate with external accountants (in France and abroad), collaborate across teams to streamline financial processes, and prepare Finary for regulatory reporting and audits.

This includes playing a key role in aligning our accounting processes with evolving regulatory standards, including crypto-related reporting and segregation of client funds.

**You'd be a great fit if you**:

- Have 2-3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a startup/scale-up or accounting firm
- Bring strong knowledge of French accounting standards and bookkeeping
- Can manage vendor relationships, lead closing processes, and handle investor and regulatory reporting.
- Have a hands-on, structured approach and a bias for ownership
- Are fluent with accounting tools and spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets)
- Are eager to grow into a high-responsibility finance leadership role
- Enjoy building efficient, tech-enabled processes from scratch
- Thrive in a collaborative environment and are excited to work closely with Operations, Compliance, and Engineering teams

**This role is not for you if**:

- You’re not looking for a hands-on role or prefer to delegate rather than execute
- You’re uncomfortable with ambiguity or working in fast-changing environments
- You're not interested in growing into a more Senior role
- You prefer rigid structures
- You're looking for a fully remote role - we believe in close collaboration and onsite presence for this position

**Bonus points if you**:

- Have experience with Pennylane or similar accounting platforms
- Have worked in a regulated environment (banking, fintech, crypto)
- Understand crypto asset accounting and/or regulatory
