Construction Manager

We are looking for a **Construction Manager **for one of our clients with the following details:
**Location: Paris area, then Muscat/Sohar (Oman)**

**Start Date: ASAP**

**Contract Duration: 12 month**

**Status: residential**

Qualification and Experience Required:

- Professional Experience: +10 (incl. experience in Middle East as a preference)
- Experience in similar position (years): +10 (or in management major international construction contracts)
- Education Level / Diploma: Engineer Degree requested by the Omani Immigration for the WP
- Languages: English and French (not mandatory - preferred)

Missions / Service Dimensions

The service holder is responsible and accountable for:

- the construction team recruitment and competency assessments
- all construction activities related to the LNG Plant, i.e., to manage the Construction Engineering, Construction Supervision, Pre-commissioning and Completion of Punch until Hand-Over to Commissioning team.
- Ensuring the progress of construction engineering, preparation, and activities during construction are in line with the overall project execution within the project budget, schedule, and Statement of Requirements up to completion.
- the compliance of construction activities with the Project specific technical referential, HSE rules
- Development Company Rules & Procedures, company Guidelines and Procedures, the best work practices.
- the good performance of LNG Plant, i.e., ensuring that it is fit for purpose, operable, maintainable, and reliable. In that respect, he will keep close contact and cooperate pro-actively with the HSE manager, Engineering Manager, QA/QC Manager, Commissioning Manager and Project Field Operations Manager.
- implementing the In-Country-Value Plan as approved by the Project Partner, OQ, and for motivating Contractors to effectively carry out all necessary steps (including recruitment & training of local personnel and procurement of local goods).
- the management of external interfaces, i.e., strong support to ensure efficient integration with other packages activities such as the LNG Tank, Port of Sohar, Power supply company, Water supply and, sewage company, OQ Gas network company, Advario condensate storage company, company Marine Fuel for bunkering, GRP for LNG Carrier, etc.).
- Such responsibility shall be managed in cooperation with the Project Interfaces Manager and other Packages Managers to optimize the overall Project value and Schedule

Activities

Within the framework of an integrated project team job holder will have to:

- Develop the Construction Management philosophy and strategy for all the facilities encompassed within the project, according to the project objectives and project Bunkering organization.
- Mobilise and manage the defined organisation for all construction activities and provide motivation, leadership, and clear objectives.
- Regular contact with EPC contractors and ensure that all technical, contractual, and cost information at his perimeter are properly recorded, collated and available.
- Assist the Plant Package Manager in coordination with other packages Manager to minimize project exposure to any claim from Contractors with arguments and supporting documents.
- Support the pre-qualification process of EPC contractor propose Sub-Contractors.
- Organize the Construction administration and be responsible for the day to day problem solving regarding the administrative environment of Construction activities
- Upon Package Manager instruction and depending on Project progress act as site representative
