**JOB DESCRIPTION & MAIN TASKS**
Our company proposes an immediate opening for a **Director position** in our Research Operation Department, to ensure the management of the production of our **Computing & Memory** activities (management of 12 people). He/she will define the operational strategy of the activities with the aim to deliver high-quality **market intelligence** & **reverse engineering** reports. With a view to performance and continuous improvement (planning, deadlines, costs), you will drive innovation in research methodologies and operational efficiency.
Position based in **Lyon or Nantes** (France). Regular business trips (Europe, USA, Asia) are expected.
As Activity Director, you will be responsible for:
- Participate in the strategic development of the product strategy of the activities in direct relationship with the Marketing Department
- Identify R&D topics (thanks to custom projects, events, network discussion )to explore new ideas
- Ensure the smooth running of the entire production chain & coordinate day-to-day relations with other activity directors, the operation office as well as with the marketing and sales departments
- Manage unexpected events and provide corrective solutions.
- Define key performance indicators in agreement with management
- Supervise and manage the Analysts team of your scope to ensure their development and growth
- Promote Yole's activities, participate in dedicated trade shows worldwide and give presentations at international conferences.
**PROFILE**
- Advanced degree in Engineering (semiconductors/nanotechnology). A degree in Business Management would be a plus.
- 10+ experience in a semiconductor market field linked to Computing, Memory and logic area.
- Strong organization and proven people management skills
- Leadership
- Proficiency in English
