**Role Summary**

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Operations & Corporate Development Associate to support our initiatives in the CEO office, reporting to Mistral's Chief of Staff. This role is pivotal in advancing our M&A activities, project managing key processes, and helping structure nascent ops teams.

You will be responsible for sourcing and instructing acquisitions, coordinating quarterly goal-setting, helping set up new business ventures, and improving internal analytics related to data and AI. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills in central coordination across various functions, as well as M&A experience.

The Strategic Operations & Corporate Development Associate will play a crucial role in Mistral AI’s scale, ensuring our strategic initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with our company's vision, mission, and values.

**Responsibilities**

**Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)**:

- Source and evaluate potential acquisition targets with key internal stakeholders.
- Conduct due diligence and financial analysis to support M&A decisions.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to facilitate smooth acquisition processes.
- Build our M&A targeting and acquisition playbooks (methodologies, processes)

**Project Management**:

- Help run key processes that require central coordination, including quarterly goal-setting and new business set-up, at the crossroads of Product Management, Engineering, Finance and GTM teams.
- Help scope and kick-off the execution of key initiatives and ventures.
- Ensure timely and effective project delivery through meticulous planning and coordination.

**Operational Team Structuring**:

- Assist in structuring nascent operational teams, particularly in the product organization.
- Help organize cadences between various departments to ensure team alignment.
- Help implement the right internal analytics related to data and AI with internal Ops and data science teams, to provide key insights and recommendations for decision-making.

**About You**
- A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in M&A, Venture Capital or a related field, with a focus on technology, AI, or a related industry. Proven track record of developing and executing successful M&A deals.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to craft strategic recommendations based on data insights.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to see the big picture and understand how different elements of a business / market / industry interact and influence each other
- Strong Tech savviness, with the ability to understand Engineering matters (roles, jobs, ecosystems, organisations, tech stacks, etc)
- A self-starter who is result-oriented, resourceful, innovative, autonomous, intellectually curious, and who takes initiative and risks.
- Fluent in English
