- About the job:_

Reporting to the Global Quality Head, the Global Head of Science Quality leads the quality strategy and execution across Innovation, Development, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Medical, and Clinical functions. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of quality in science, ensuring compliance, enabling innovation, and embedding a modern, agile quality culture.
- Main responsibilities:_
- Strategic Leadership
- Define and drive the global quality strategy for scientific functions, ensuring alignment with Opella’s business priorities and transformation roadmap.
- Define and monitor relevant KPI's
- Transform Science Quality organization and activities to become a fit for purpose FMCH Quality organization
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leaders across Science, Growth Hub, M&S, and Global Quality, influencing decisions to ensure compliance and business impact. Support Science and R&D teams to speed up and increase innovation through an improved and optimized Science Q model
- Lead the evolution of quality systems to support innovation, digital transformation, and future-ready operations.
- Represent Science Quality in leadership forums, contributing to enterprise-wide quality vision and governance.
- Quality Governance & Compliance
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) across all GxP-regulated scientific functions.
- Ensure inspection readiness and regulatory compliance through robust systems, risk-based oversight, and proactive issue management.
- Monitor and report on quality performance, trends, and risks, escalating critical issues.
- Team Leadership & Organizational Design
- Lead and develop a high-performing global team of quality professionals.
- Design an optimized team structure to enhance efficiency, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Operational Excellence & Performance
- Drive quality operations in Science Hub projects, ensuring seamless integration of quality in innovation and development pipelines.
- Lead cross-functional quality initiatives to simplify processes, leverage synergies, and enhance execution.
- Champion the Challenger Mindset and embed a modern quality culture across scientific functions
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the quality partner of choice for Science Hub leaders and key stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into quality solutions, ensuring client satisfaction and value creation.
- Collaborate with Global Quality teams to ensure consistency, alignment, and knowledge sharing.
- About you:_
- Experience: Experienced in R&D Quality Management across GMP, GVP, GCP, with both technical and operational experience. Proven track record in leading global, remote teams and operating in complex matrix environments.
- Skills: Strategic thinker with strong leadership, influence, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Change agent with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Technical skills: Quality systems, R&D business
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Languages: Fluent in English and French; additional languages are a plus.
