Senior Product Manager, Accounts Payable

We’re looking for a **Lead Product Manager for Accounts Payable (AP)** to take ownership of one of the most commercially strategic areas of the platform. This is a pivotal role within our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) journey—responsible not only for operational excellence and product delivery but for driving adoption, expansion, and monetisation of our AP capabilities.
You’ll report to the Group Product Manager for P2P and partner closely with Engineering, Design, Data, and GTM teams. You’ll set the product vision, execute against ambitious growth targets, and ensure our AP offering is a clear reason why customers choose and scale with Spendesk.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Own the AP Product Strategy**:Define and execute the product strategy for Accounts Payable - covering everything from invoice capture and approvals to payment workflows, reconciliation, and compliance.
- ** Deeply Understand Users**:Partner with Customer Success, Support, and UX Research to understand the pain points of finance teams. Build solutions that reduce friction, improve control, and increase trust.
- ** Drive Operational Excellence**:Ensure that AP features are scalable, reliable, and performant—especially as our customer base grows across different markets and company sizes.
- ** Collaborate Cross-functionally**:Work closely with Engineering and Design to build high-quality solutions, and with GTM teams to support rollout, feedback loops, and market adoption.
- ** Monitor Success Metrics**:Define and track success metrics for adoption, performance, accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Use these insights to inform roadmap and iteration cycles.
- ** Ensure Compliance & Regional Fit**:Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and local market leads to ensure AP workflows comply with regulatory requirements (e.g., tax, audit trails, approval policies) in key European geographies.

- Deliver an AP experience that is both operationally excellent and commercially magnetic
- Increase adoption, satisfcation and expansion of Spendesk's P2P workflows among growing customer cohorts
- Drive feature usage and upsell through a clearly articulated and differentiated value proposition
- Contribute directly to recurring revenue growth by scaling a high-margin, customer-critical product
- Position Spendesk as the go-to platform for end-to-end spend management in Europe
**What we're looking for**:
- ** Experienced B2B PM**: You’ve led complex product areas - ideally in fintech, finance tools, or workflow-heavy platforms.
- ** Customer-obsessed**: You get deep into user pain points and can translate them into elegant, scalable solutions.
- ** Strong executor**: You have a track record of shipping valuable product in collaboration with engineers and designers.
- ** Analytical & structured**: You make decisions based on insights, KPIs, and clear problem framing. **Strong commercial acumen**: You can work with GTM partners to align on monetisation, drive conversions, and improve ARPU through product value.
- ** Collaborative operator**: You work effectively across product, engineering, and GTM teams, and communicate clearly at all levels.
- ** Bonus**: Experience with payments, invoicing, or accounts payable systems, and familiarity with European finance regulations. Experience building product with significant AI component, bonus if leveraging LLMs.
