- SAFT is looking for a
- **Process Development Engineer M/F** to organize and lead cross-functional projects related to Lithium-ion batteries, and more specifically for process development on its prototype lines.
- His/her main responsibilities will be as follows:
- Perform process characterization to define key parameters and achieve quality objectives.
- Establish equipment requirements in close collaboration with the product design and development teams, suppliers and the project team.
- Align the equipment specifications to reliability and quality requirements within the framework of new products development or management of legacy products.
- Ensure that design results meet the objectives set by the user requirements specifications.
- Perform failure analysis, determine cause of failure.
- Contribute to the development of Li-ion battery manufacturing processes by performing the following tasks:

- Analyze and evaluate physical data of electrodes, including dimensions, to determine direct and interaction effects of machines and processes being evaluated
- Analyze operating procedures and functions of equipment and machines to reduce time and cost of electrode processes.
- Provide technical support to development teams to resolve manufacturing process issues.
- Conduct research and development for new and existing production lines to improve the electrode manufacturing process in terms of safety, quality and productivity.
- Chemical or mechanical engineer
- Minimum 5 years experience in process development, manufacturing and engineering
- Experience with Solidworks, Creo, Matlab, Minitab, or other equivalent engineering software.
- Proficiency in process development and quality management tools/systems.
- Fluency in French and English required
