**Senior Product Manager - C&I portfolio leader**

We are currently expanding our global Product Management leadership team for the water and gas measurement devices.

Reporting to the Director of Product Management for water and gas, your responsibility would be to own, define and drive the overall lifecycle for the C&I (commercial and industrial) global product portfolio from pre-concept through product end-of-life. You will be responsible for all aspects of this global portfolio, including profit and loss, and lead a current team of 2 product managers. Travel is expected for around 10% of the time.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Lead a team of product managers and inspire them to achieve best-in-class discipline and skills
- Own all aspects of product management, from defining requirements and development through to end-of-life.
- Commercial management of the product roadmap and requirements to deliver products ensuring the portfolio operates at target profits.
- Work in cross-functional teams with as sales and bid teams, engineering, and operations to grow the business and ensure efficient operations.
- Launch new products to the market with comprehensive introduction plans, coordinating with marketing and sales teams
- Work closely with customers, prospects and other stakeholders to understand and define requirements for new products and enhancements to existing products
- Establish a portfolio roadmap and regularly measure, monitor, and adapt to business needs
- Take ownership of the communication of the portfolio (internal & external), give product presentations to potential customers, and represent Itron at global events.
- Prepare business case evaluation during and after project execution.
- Ensure regular reporting and portfolio reviews at all levels of the organization, from project level to executive.

**Preferred Skills & Experience**:

- Degree in Business or Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in Product management or portfolio management roles
- Industry experience in smart metering technologies and the utility sector, preferably in water and gas.
- Extensive experience in strategic portfolio development to expand business beyond existing solutions.
- Experience leading and engaging large, global, diverse virtual teams
- Experience in driving strategy related to new product sales and new product introductions.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as good presentation skills and the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
- Result-oriented, proactive, strong analytical skills.
- Organized and flexible, capacity to handle several projects at the same time in an international environment.
