ABB, world leader in power and automation technologies, is recruiting a Sales Manager (South of France) for its Motion offer (Motors and Inverters) to end customers, distributors, SIs and installers. As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the company's global strategy in your region, and for supporting and steering the sales targets of the team for which you are responsible. You will guide and support your team in building lasting relationships with customers and prospects. You are responsible for coordinating ways of improving customer satisfaction. This means finding solutions internally, with the help of support services.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Responsible for the sales budget for the various channels and product lines
- Develop business by improving product and market knowledge
- Identify customer needs and competitor offerings through market research, ensuring that marketing is effective and communications demonstrate the value proposition of products and services.
- Assists the local sales organization in determining the best solutions and provides technical assistance, product presentations and training.
- Supervise and manage the performance and development of the sales team, made up of 6 Sales Engineers (individual interviews, definition of objectives, action plans in the event of order shortfalls, etc.).
- Actively participates in the preparation of sales forecasts and ensures that they are achieved.
- Use dashboards and CRM effectively to manage activity.
- Support the team in difficult/strategic negotiations.
- Collaborates with other departments to draw up sales plans and offers, ensuring their technical and financial optimization and supporting product launches.
- Assesses contractual risks and works closely with stakeholders to mitigate legal and financial risks.
- Ensures ethical and commercial compliance of all teams with Group rules and instructions.
**Your background**:
- Proven experience in managing a sales team and implementing sales strategy.
- Proven experience in selling products/solutions in industry; good technical knowledge of products (motors/drives) is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years' higher education in business, sales or marketing; a Master's degree is an advantage
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English and French.
- Strong awareness of safety and integrity rules.
