From sustainable transportation to advanced semiconductors, from satellite systems to life-saving medical devices, the next great leaps in human advancement will be powered by Ansys. **Innovate With Ansys, Power Your Career.** **Summary / Role Purpose** As part of Ansys's activities in audio signal processing for industrial purposes (analyzing sound components, extracting components from a sound, and synthesizing a sound from characteristic elements), we are evaluating a Machine Learning model dedicated to anomaly detection in an audio recording. Within the Ansys Sound team, we specifically focus on three elements that could constitute the signature of an anomaly in the audio signal: tonal components (harmonics, whistles, etc.), transient noises (shocks, clicks, etc.), and the noisy part. The approach is exploratory and builds on a study already conducted within our team and will involve reusing the code as well as training a Deep Learning model. This is a 4 months temporary contract. **Key Duties and Responsibilities** - Adapting the data pre-processing code to another specific case - Annotating data using tools available within our team - Performing data augmentation - Training the model, providing critical feedback on the obtained results and possibly execute several training runs - Learns and employs best practices - Works under the close supervision of a ML engineer **Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience** - BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - Experience in AI/machine Learning and python, with Jupyter, TensorFlow/keras, scikit-learn - Familiarity with development under tools under Windows OS, VS Code, git, AzureDevOps - Proposes and implements novel solutions, think "outside the box" and let your ideas be known **Preferred Qualifications and Skills** - Knowledge in signal processing and acoustics - Experience Basic understanding of the software development process - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team At Ansys, we know that changing the world takes vision, skill, and each other.
