The job proposed is inside Metallic Coatings and Surfaces (MCS) cluster that is attached to both Process and Product research centers. This cluster of about 70 deals process developments (technologies, models, knowledge) and with product development (metallic coatings, surface treatment). It is also including corrosion and surface analysis expertise. The position open is related to Metallic Coatings Process development.

As part of Metallic Coatings and Surfaces cluster, Metallic Coatings Process team is looking for an engineer in order to work on hot-dip-galvanizing process.

**Your role**

You must contribute to the optimization of two main processes which are the snout (immersion in the zinc bath) and the wiping (management of the final coating weight after the zinc bath). Coating quality is strongly linked to these two processes and the physics behind require strong knowledge on fluid mechanics. Adaptations are required in order to ensure quality and robustness of current and future products manufacturing. You are expected to take part to several projects, main responsibilities being:

- To benchmark existing solution within ArcelorMittal group and at competitors / suppliers
- To manage trials on lab pilot, with the support of technicians
- To organize industrial trials and interpret results
- To use and develop models
- To propose industrial lines adaptations

He will rely on advanced tools (various laboratory pilots.), and solid skills available within the cluster on process, new metallic coatings, but also on other clusters specialized in Process Engineering or Measurement and Control.

**Your profile**
- You hold a Masters' degree with general technical education and specialization in Energetic (fluid mechanics, thermal transfer and thermodynamics) or a PhD in the same domain.
- You have advanced level in English and in French.
- You have excellent communication skills.
- You have adaptability and cross-cultural competence.
- You know how to work with a team.
- You have the ability to travel worldwide.
