THE ROLE
Manage seafarers in respect of safety, performance and cost while ensuring compliance with national and international regulations, company procedures and Collective agreement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
**You shall**:
Ensure that all the seafarers embark with all compulsory certificates and qualifications, check their medical status and manage repatriations for French seafarers
**Complete seafarers’ personal details in dedicated software**: qualifications, medical certificates, skills & trainings, appraisals, etc...
Participate in the planning process in close cooperation with Singapore Crew Managers, establish long term planning for French seafarers
Briefing of seafarers prior to next contract and debrief them on completion of contract
Inform the French Fleet Captain and Marine Human Resources Director of any serious issues that may affect future contracts and fleet stability
Arrange crew travel, ensuring that the appointed agents contact the Travellers’ Club to arrange any accommodation required if needed
Advise and provide all required information and documentation to port agents to ensure that appropriate permits to board are issued
Manage local family welfare issues keeping the Payroll and P&I Claims Officer informed.
PROFILE & COMPETENCIES
Graduated from a Bachelor’s degree
3 years’ experience in maritime industry
**Good knowledge of**:
Mandatory STCW certification requirements
Flag Administration requirements
Competent with various software, such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc....
Fluent in English
Good time management skills, ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines, rigorous and methodical
